CHARLOTTE — Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police are investigating a homicide in west Charlotte, Channel 9 has learned through court records.
Officers visited a home along West Boulevard, near Clanton Road, on Thursday and found a man dead inside. It is unclear how the man died and what led up to the homicide. Court records show that Belton Platt has been charged with murder in the case.
CMPD has announced the arrest of Belton Lamont Platt, 38, for his involvement in this shooting.
The victim was identified as 44-year-old Demond Dixon.
Channel 9 is working to learn more about the case.
