CMPD seizes drugs and guns during October traffic stops across Charlotte

CHARLOTTE — The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department has taken several guns and drugs off the street in October.

Police say they found marijuana and other drugs after stopping a reckless driver near Tom Hunter Road.

CMPD also recovered cocaine during a different stop on West Sugar Creek Road.

Investigators said a driver with a fake registration plate was also caught with a stolen gun.
