CHARLOTTE, N.C. — A Charlotte-Mecklenburg student who said he was suspended after being accused of pushing an assistant principal will be allowed to march across the stage at graduation next week.
Channel 9 reported last week that 8,000 people signed a petition asking CMS to let Micah Hollins walk at graduation.
Hollins, a straight-A student, said he was suspended after a confrontation with an assistant principal.

He said he was in the courtyard of his high school, Phillip O. Berry Academy of Technology, and was trying to cut through the school to catch a city bus so he could get to work.
Hollins said the assistant principal grabbed his arm and told him he had to go the long way around the school. He tried to go past her and the administrator accused him of pushing her, Hollins said.
He was immediately suspended and told he couldn't walk with his classmates, according to Hollins.
But his fellow students stood behind him.
He told Channel 9 Friday that high school leaders informed him that he will be allowed to walk with his classmates.
