CHARLOTTE — An early morning crash caused a power pole to fall on Idlewild Road in southeast Charlotte on Thursday.
According to the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department’s live traffic feed, the crash happened in front of Idlewild Elementary School between W.T. Harris Blvd. and Independence Blvd.

A Channel 9 news crew was at the scene, where the crash was moved to the side of the road so traffic can go through.
Channel 9 reached out to MEDIC who said they were canceled before arriving on the scene.
Duke Energy did not report any outages.
