CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Critics of a new bail policy say it puts families at risk by allowing accused criminals back on the streets with little to no bail.
But, advocates of the program argue that it may actually make our community safer.
The new policy is designed offenders who are not considered dangerous or a threat to run, but simply cannot afford to pay to get out of jail.
