Data center company buys more land in Burke County

HILDEBRAN, N.C. — A New York company wants to build a data center in Hildebran, our partners at the Morganton News Herald reported.

Digihost international LLC bought 21 acres of vacant land along Highway 70 in Burke County.

Digihost is a cryptocurrency mining company.

They already bought roughly 20 acres nearby in 2022.

The company says the facility would be 200 megawatts.
