MOORESVILLE, N.C. — There’s a new fire chief in Mooresville, and he’s no stranger to the town.
Shane LaCount began his new position Monday.
He previously served as Deputy Chief.
The last chief, Curt Deaton, retired after 30 years of service.
LaCount has been a part of Mooresville Fire-Rescue since 2008.
