IRON STATION, N.C. — Hot and dry conditions are what wildfires thrive on and some are already breaking out.
Firefighters doused a brush fire in some woods near Chateau Lane in Iron Station.

"That fire could just run right through that dead foliage," said Brad Hall, with the Alexis Volunteer Fire Department.
In the video at the top of this webpage, firefighters ask communities not to burn debris.
