CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Charlotte Knights’ fans were up early Saturday morning to make sure they were in line to buy single-game tickets.
Some fans were in line as early as 6:30 a.m. for the tickets that went on sale at 10 a.m. at BB&T Ballpark in uptown Charlotte.
One fan told Channel 9 he has high hopes for the season.
“This season, I’m looking forward to them winning their league title and to have a great season, a winning season. I’m sure they can do it,” the fan said.
When fans go to the first game, they will notice a couple improvements to areas in the stadium.
An extended awning will be installed in the Piedmont Natural Gas Picnic Area before Opening Day.
In the Miller Lite Rooftop Party Zone, a 40-by-40 structure will be added to give added cover to fans in the area.
The Charlotte Knights open the 2017 season, their 30th as the Knights, April 6 at BB&T Ballpark.
