CHARLOTTE — Mecklenburg County citizens could be charged with a misdemeanor if they have COVID-19 and break isolation. That’s one thing outlined in an order signed by the county health director when a Mecklenburg County resident tests positive for coronavirus.

The order also said patients need to contact the health department if they experience worse symptoms, to keep a log of any visitors to their homes and remain at their home until cleared by the department.
