CHARLOTTE, N.C. — One person is dead and two are in critical condition after a head-on crash on Interstate 485 early Sunday.
The crash happened just before 1 a.m. near Harrisburg Road in east Charlotte.
The driver of one vehicle crossed into oncoming traffic and hit a car head-on, officials said.
One victim was airlifted to the hospital and another was taken by ambulance, according to Medic.
One person died on the way to the hospital.
