• Major Dilworth road reopened after tree limb falls

    Updated:

CHARLOTTE, N.C. - A major Dilworth road has been reopened after part of a fallen tree had blocked it overnight.

Emergency crews told Channel 9 that a large tree limb fell onto Morehead Street near Kenilworth Avenue around 2:45 a.m., bringing down some power lines.

Sometime after the limb fell, a car ran into it but nobody in that vehicle was hurt.

Crews reopened all lanes of Morehead around 6:30 a.m. after making repairs and cleaning up.
