MOORESVILLE, N.C. — Lowe’s Cos. Inc. CEO Marvin Ellison earned nearly $23.1 million in total compensation in fiscal 2020 as the pandemic buoyed sales across the retailer’s footprint.

That’s up 99% from the $11.6 million Lowe’s awarded Ellison in fiscal 2019, according to a U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission filing in advance of the company’s annual shareholders meeting in May.

Ellison’s fiscal 2020 salary included a base amount of $1.45 million, unchanged from the previous year.

The rest is made up of stock and option awards and other compensation, such as use of corporate aircraft.
