PITTSBURGH — Affordable housing. Skills training and trade work for people with criminal records. Economic mobility.
Those issues dominated a conversation Wednesday between Charlotte Mayor Vi Lyles and Pittsburgh Mayor Bill Peduto at the Phipps Conservatory and Botanical Gardens. Both are Democrats.
The exchange of ideas and perspectives kicked off the Charlotte Regional Business Alliance’s inter-city trip, a three-day visit mixing tours of notable Pittsburgh educational, business and cultural hubs with panel discussions featuring leaders from both cities.
