STATESVILLE, N.C. — A man has been arrested after the deadly shooting of another man in Statesville earlier this week, police say.
On Tuesday morning, the Statesville police chief said officers found a man outside of a car on Fifth Street. The victim, Breon Tucker, 40, died after being shot, investigators said.
On Friday, officers said they arrested Marcus Mack, 34, and charged him with first degree murder and armed robbery.
Statesville police said it is still investigating the shooting and additional suspects and charges may be pending.
