RALEIGH, N.C. — Deputies have arrested a man after he reportedly stabbed four of his family members in a Raleigh house Sunday night, according to our news partners WTVD.
The incident happened around 10 p.m. on Gamble Drive, near the Neuse River.
Officials said Carl Barkley stabbed his wife, 16-year-old son and two other children before his wife took the weapon from him, and he ran off.
Deputies said the 16-year-old boy was taken to the hospital with serious injuries, but the other family members' conditions are unknown at this time.
Authorities arrested Barkley Monday morning in Rocky Mount. He faces charges of assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill or seriously injure.
Officials said Barkley's listed residence was in Rich Square, North Carolina, which is a town in Northampton County.
Deputies have not said his or his family members' connection to the home in Raleigh where the stabbings happened Sunday night.
