MECKLENBURG COUNTY, N.C. — Charlotte's explosion in violent crime is rocking neighborhoods and destroying families.
Officials said 94 people have been killed in Charlotte so far this year and many of them were teens.
Eyewitness News anchor Allison Latos spoke exclusively with Mecklenburg County District Attorney Spencer Merriweather and asked what he's doing to keep your neighborhoods safe.

"We've got to figure out a way as a community to steer our young people to peaceful resolutions," Merriweather said.
