Mount Holly officers cleared of wrongdoing in shooting

MOUNT HOLLY, N.C. — Two Mount Holly police officers have been cleared of wrongdoing after shooting a man five times.

Officers said J'mar Davis put his hand on a gun after they pulled him over for speeding in February.

State investigators told The Gaston Gazette that gave officers a reason to shoot.

Davis survived the shooting and is charged with assaulting police officers.
