CONOVER, N.C. — The National Guard 626th Support Maintenance Company headquartered in Hickory was deployed Friday to the Middle East.

About 130 troops will provide maintenance support for Brigade Combat Teams while overseas.
The National Guard company also has a detachment in Newton.
