Former SC Gov. Nikki Haley not backing down from presidential race

GREENVILLE, S.C. — Former South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley is not stopping her presidential campaign now.

On Tuesday, she announced she’s holding a rally at Suffolk Punch brewery in Charlotte’s South End. It’s scheduled for March 1, before Super Tuesday.

Earlier Tuesday, Haley was in her home state of South Carolina to say she wasn’t backing down from her opponent.

“South Carolina will vote on Saturday. But on Sunday, I’ll still be running for president,” she said. “I’m not going anywhere.”

Like she mentioned, South Carolina’s Republican primary is on Saturday.

Former President Donald Trump is holding a rally in Rock Hill on Friday at 4 p.m. at the Winthrop Coliseum.
