North Carolina is ranked the No. 1 state in the country for workforce development, according to Site Selection Magazine. This marks the third time in four years that the Tar Heel State has achieved this distinction.
The ranking evaluates workforce readiness, training capacity and labor quality. Following North Carolina in the top five are Utah, Illinois, Michigan, and California.
