MATTHEWS, N.C.,None — A man has been arrested in connection with a robbery at a Matthews bank.
Matthews police said Cornell Oneal Drakeford was arrested early Friday morning at his home in connection with a Wednesday robbery at the Charlotte Metro Credit Union.
No one was injured during the robbery.
Butler High School, which is nearby, was placed on lockdown for about 20 minutes after the incident.
