WATAUGA COUNTY, N.C. — Channel 9 has been told by police that attendance is down at Watauga High School on Friday following a threat of violence against the school.
Boone police and Watauga County Schools officials said the threat was made by a student Thursday afternoon.
On Friday, police said there was no credible threat and no arrests will be made.
School officials said extra police officers are on the campus Friday.
