CMPD seeks man accused of cutting off electronic monitoring device

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Police are looking for a Charlotte man Saturday who they said cut off an electronic monitoring device that he was ordered to wear.

Officials with the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department said 29-year-old Damarie Ordone allegedly cut off his electronic monitoring device Wednesday after a court ordered him to wear it as a condition of his pretrial release.

Authorities said Ordone is wanted on charges of possession of a firearm by a felon, damage to property and interfering with an electronic monitoring device.

Ordone was last known to be in the 10400 block of Albemarle Road in Charlotte, officials said. He is described as 5 feet 9 inches tall and 180 pounds.
