CHARLOTTE — A wreck Monday night closed the Interstate 77 North ramp onto Interstate 485 early Monday night.
The crash happened shortly before 7 p.m. and created a plume of black smoke that could be seen for miles.
Channel 9 got to the scene where firefighters extinguished a fire, which consumed a tractor-trailer hauling tires.
One person with serious injuries was taken to a hospital.
Expect major traffic delays in the area.
