CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Jackalope Jack’s, a popular Elizabeth restaurant, is in jeopardy of being shut down.
Developers are interested in replacing the 7th Street eatery with 125 new apartments that include street-level storefronts and restaurants.
Neighbors have expressed concern over the traffic and parking trouble that the project would cause.

The project “doesn’t fit with Elizabeth’s character,” District Representative Patsy Kinsey said.
The Charlotte City Council held a public hearing Monday where photos of the development were revealed. City council has not yet voted on the rezoning.
