CHARLOTTE, N.C. - It’ll be a while yet before guests for the 2020 Republican National Convention begin arriving in the Queen City, but already, more than 100 Airbnb rentals have been booked here, according to data released this morning by the home-sharing service.

In fact, with the exception of one rather unique property, the “most-wishlisted” Airbnb accommodations in Charlotte are already off the market for RNC week.

Even more such rentals have been booked in Milwaukee, the site of next year’s Democratic National Convention. Overall, Airbnb expects more than 20,000 arrivals in the two cities for the national conventions, a dramatic increase over 7,600 arrivals for the 2016 conventions.
