CHARLOTTE — A portion of a busy road in University City was reopened overnight after a train hit a car.
The collision happened around 10 p.m. on Back Creek Church Road near University City Boulevard.
Nobody was in the car when it was hit and authorities have not said why the vehicle was on the tracks.
