MATTHEWS, N.C. — The statewide Silver Alert for a missing Matthews man has been canceled.
Police issued the alert Sunday afternoon for 79-year-old Richard Gibbons, who may have dementia or another cognitive impairment, who was last seen on Foxfield Lane.
No other information has been released at this time.
We are working to confirm where he was found and how he is doing.
