Thanksgiving Mobile Market helps families prepare for the holiday

CHARLOTTE — A local group in Charlotte hosted a free food drive just in time for Thanksgiving.

Zealous Empowering Nurturer hosted the food giveaway at the WellCare Welcome Room off Ashley Road and Freedom Drive.

Families got meal kits made up of non-perishable goods and fresh produce.

Organizers said they started earlier than expected because lines started forming.

They served about 100 people.
