Officials said the toy fell out of the student’s waistband during a fight around 1 p.m. at the school along Dr. Carver Road.

Police also recovered real ammunition from the student.

The school was placed on lockdown as a result.

The toy gun had a “Smith & Wesson” stamp on it, and the orange safety tip was removed.

A father of a student at the school pulled up to the active scene.

“I don’t even know if my son is OK right now,” father Corey Roper said. “I haven't received a text from him or anything.”

CMS police said a student was arrested and will face charges.

Details have not been released about what started the fight.
