CHARLOTTE, NC — A UNC Charlotte technology professor is running for president of Bosnia.
Mirsad Hadzikadic says the Balkan nation is very divided and politics can be physically dangerous, but he feels he’s a moderate who can stabilize the situation.
His platform is the economy, the youth, and putting Bosnia first.
"Got a call from a good friend from Sarajevo, the capital of Bosnia, who basically said, 'Mirsad, the country's in a dangerous spot, it's about to disintegrate and there may not be another election. if you ever thought about helping out in a way of public office, this is your chance,'” he explained.
Bosnia has a three-president system. The election is October 7.
