CHARLOTTE, N.C. — UNC Charlotte's Board of Trustees approved a preliminary plan to sell beer and wine at games if lawmakers pass a bill allowing it.
State House lawmakers passed a bill Tuesday that would allow alcohol sales at public university stadiums.
If enacted, UNCC would sell alcohol at its football, baseball, basketball and soccer venues during games.
Some students think this is a good idea.
“I think it would be good,” a student said. “It would attract more fans to the games.”

Under UNCC's plan, the Athletic Foundation will order and purchase beer and wine, and their third-party vendor will serve it.
The bill will now be considered by the Senate.
