CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Police are investigating after someone opened fire on a car full of people in northwest Charlotte, injuring one person.

According to officials, the shooting happened Thursday just before midnight on Beatties Ford Road at Capps Hill Mine Road.
Police said a bullet hit a young woman in the shoulder, but she is expected to recover.
The three other people in the car were not hurt.

Officials said they don't have a suspect and they don't know the motive at this point.
