N.C. State recruiter sends unusual but funny letter to football recruit

RALEIGH, N.C. — The new director of player personnel at N.C. State is putting a creative spin on recruiting letters.

Photos have surfaced on social media sites of letters that Drew Hughes has sent to recruits featuring jargon that teenagers would best understand.

The letter starts off with "WHAT UP Big Time," and goes on to say that he recently joined the staff and, "I LOVE THE WAY YOU BALL!!"

Lostletterman.com first reported the story on its website.

Hughes throws in some, "This place is unreal bro!" and features important points emphasized with yellow highlighter.

One of the letters was posted on Instagram by Dexter Wright, a safety from Wilson, N.C.

Hughes ends the letter with a bang: "NC STATE NEEDS = BALLERS" … "YOU = BALLER."

Only time will tell if it actually works.
