CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Emergency crews responded to a crash involving a school bus in south Charlotte early Friday morning.
The wreck happened on Tyvola Road just east of South Blvd. around 7:30 a.m. and involved the bus and another vehicle, a silver car which appeared wedged underneath the front of the bus.
Officials told Channel 9 that no students were on the bus.

Paramedics said they were treating one person on the scene and transported the driver of the silver car to the hospital.
Officers had to block two westbound lanes of Tyvola and traffic was being backed up around the area.
