ROWAN COUNTY, N.C. — Jamie Parsons is the adoptive brother of 13-year-old Erica Parsons, who reported her missing in 2013.
He came forward with the shocking claim that his sister had been gone for years, and was last seen in 2011.
Erica’s remains were eventually found in 2016. Her adoptive parents were convicted of her murder.
“You walk into the the Rowan County Sheriff’s Office and you told them what?” Channel 9′s Allison Latos asked in an interview with Jamie.
“I’m here to report her missing, but I’m not 100% sure she’s alive,” Jamie responded.
“What made you finally come forward and report her missing?” Allison asked.
“Because I had enough family members to actually believe me,” he said.
>> Allison sat down with Jamie for an in-depth interview where he recounted the last time he saw his sister. Watch “The Erica Parsons Story” Friday, Oct. 29 at 8 p.m.
