The other car involved in the crash suffered serious front-end damage.
Troopers haven't said what caused the crash or whether anyone will face charges.
Crews from the North Mecklenburg Volunteer Rescue Squad responded to the crash.
It's one of the final calls they will respond to as the organization shuts its doors Friday night after 58 years of service.
Leaders say it was forced to close because the town of Huntersville re-allocated its funds, giving the money to the Huntersville Fire Department.
The squad will now transition into a charitable foundation providing scholarships and other things to the community.
