Carowinds' Fury 325 named 'Best Steel Coaster in the World' for 4th year in a row

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — For the fourth year in a row, Carowinds' Fury 325 has won the "Best Steel Coaster in the World" in Amusement Today's Golden Ticket Awards.

Standing at 325-feet tall and reaching speeds up to 95 mph, Carowinds says Fury 325 is the world's tallest and fastest giga coaster.

It crisscrosses the state line between the Carolinas and stretches more than a mile.

The coaster debuted at the park in 2015, and since then, it has received top honors from the Golden Ticket Awards.

The awards are presented every year to honor the "best of the best" in the amusement industry.

Carowinds has a total of 14 coasters. The park's latest rollercoaster, Copperhead Strike, opened in March 2019.
