CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Thanksgiving Day can be hard for people in need, especially for those who already wonder where their next meal will come from.
This holiday, the Charlotte Rescue mission is stepping up and feeding hundreds of struggling families.
The rescue mission has been collecting food donations for Thursday's Thanksgiving meal for weeks and volunteers are expected to serve breakfast and dinner.
This year, they are expecting to dish out more than 1,000 meals to people who walk through their doors.
Watch the video above as Channel 9's Anthony Kustura visits the mission in uptown Charlotte and sees their work in action.
