The commercial real estate firm’s 2019 Scoring Tech Talent Report found the fastest-growing tech talent pool in the nation right here in the Queen City, which ranked No. 2 by that measure overall, with Toronto taking the No. 1 spot.
CBRE notes tech labor concentration — defined as the percentage of total employment — is influential in a market’s growth potential. Charlotte has a tech talent labor pool of 55,430, or 4.6% of its total employment, compared with a national average of 3.7%, according to a news release accompanying the report.
The city saw its tech talent pool increase by 48.4% from 2013 to 2018.
