Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools released its end-of-grade results from last year, and they show fewer children are reading at their grade level.

Elementary and middle school reading scores declined with the percentage of students reading at or above grade level dropping by 0.7.
As far as CMS performance grades, there are still many C, D and F schools collectively, compared to A and B schools.
