County commissioners to discuss future of historic Excelsior Club

CHARLOTTE — Tuesday night, Mecklenburg County Commissioners will discuss the future of the Excelsior Club.

Two developers have announced plans to tear down and rebuild the historic club.

They are each asking the city and the county for $1.5 million for the project.

The Charlotte City Council is expected to vote on the proposal next week.
