RALEIGH, N.C. — There is a brand new Miss North Carolina and she is from the Charlotte region!
Alexandra Badgett is originally from Denver in Gaston County, but competed as "Miss Jacksonville."
Badgett beat out 41 other women for the crown with her platform "No is Not Enough."
She won a $20,000 scholarship and will get to compete for Miss America next year.
"Miss Charlotte" Autumn Hubbard was among the Top 5.
