Doorbell camera catches FedEx driver chucking package onto porch

FORT MILL, S.C. — Biagio Cerbelli said he couldn't believe what he saw on his doorbell camera last Thursday.

Video shows a FedEx delivery man treating his package like a basketball.

The video shows the man toss a package up his porch stairs about 4 feet, tumbling several times before resting on Cerbelli's doorstep.

It happened in a neighborhood off Shady Grove Crossing, west of Interstate 77 in Fort Mill.

"My wife said the lamp we received in the mail was a little loose and to check the ring app to take a look," said Cerbelli. "We were at first pretty angry, then kind of in disbelief. You know, that’s their job to deliver packages, and so just to see them be so careless with that, with especially such a large package, we were just really surprised."

“The behavior depicted in the video is unacceptable and inconsistent with the professionalism FedEx Ground service providers demonstrate every day in safely and securely delivering millions of packages to our customers. We are committed to treating our customers’ packages with the utmost care and offer our sincerest apologies. We will take appropriate action to address this situation.”
