NEWTON, N.C. — A judge denied Channel 9’s request to release the body camera video in a case against a former police lieutenant charged with murder.
Carlos Uribe is accused of killing Camden Childers after a police pursuit in Newton over the summer.
Investigators say Uribe shot the 21-year-old while his hands were behind his back. Prosecutors argued releasing the video could hurt chances for a fair trial.
