SHELBY, N.C. — Saturday marks nearly 20 years since a 9-year-old Shelby girl disappeared.
Family, friends and investigators gathered Saturday to pray for Asha Degree, who was last seen near her Shelby home on Valentine’s Day in 2000.
The FBI Charlotte tweeted pictures of them circled together, praying for Degree’s return.

Investigators believe someone abducted Degree. The FBI Charlotte said it will keep working to find out what happened to her.
