Inside a newly opened, $37M luxury hotel in SouthPark

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — The AC Hotel Charlotte SouthPark welcomed its first guests this week.

That Marriott-branded hotel delivers a luxury boutique experience, says Taylor Lugar, general manager. It has 162 rooms. The AC is located at 1824 Roxborough Road, along the proposed SouthPark Loop and in close proximity to SouthPark mall.

“It’s that lifestyle brand that provides everything you need and removes everything you don’t,” Lugar says.

JWM Family Enterprises — a private hotel venture of Marriott International Inc. — also owns the adjacent Charlotte Marriott SouthPark and nearby Renaissance Charlotte SouthPark.

The AC cost approximately $37 million.
