CHARLOTTE — Dredging for the pond in Freedom Park could begin as early as this week, according to Mecklenburg County Parks and Recreation.
The $2.5 million in funding for the project was approved in October.
The company Eagle Wood Incorporated plans to remove sediment from the pond and repair any damage to sidewalks, curbs or gutters during the project.
Officials say it could take up to six months to complete.
