SALISBURY, N.C. — More than 7,000 holiday wreaths were placed on veterans’ graves Saturday afternoon in Salisbury.
This was the first year all graves at the Salisbury National Cemetery had wreaths.
Rolling Thunder North Carolina Chapter 6 laid all the wreaths on the graves starting at noon Saturday.
Bottomley Farms and Evergreens in Sparta donated more than 2,000 wreaths and a refrigerated trailer to store them in.
The event was in coordination with Wreaths Across America to remember and honor veterans during the holidays.
